BEWARE! Effectively immediately, we will hold regular shinai checks at the start of class. Anyone whose shinai does not pass muster will not be allowed to participate in class. Instead you will spend the duration of class repairing all of the spare dojo-shinai, fixing your own shinai at home.
So! Before each class, make sure that:
- … there are no splinters.
- … there are no other defects.
- … the tsuru is tight.
- … the nakayui is tight and cannot move freely.
Remember that we’re not doing this to annoy or pester you, these rules are for everyone’s safety!
Last saturday’s performance was disgraceful, with ~70% of the attending students needing to repair their shinai.LET OP! Voortaan houden we regelmatige shinai controles aan het begin van de les. Eenieder wiens shinai niet voldoet aan de veiligheidseisen zal niet mee mogen doen aan de les. In plaats daarvan zal je de les besteden aan het repareren van de dojo-shinai (en mag je je eigen shinai thuis repareren).
Dus, let er voor de les goed op dat:
… er geen splinters zijn.
… er geen andere defecten zijn.
… de tsuru goed strak staat.
… de nakayui goed strak zit en niet vrij kan draaien.
Onthoud dat we dit niet doen om je te pesten! Deze regels zijn er voor de veiligheid van iedereen!
Het resultaat van afgelopen zaterdag, toen ~70% van de shinai werden afgekeurd, is schandalig te noemen.
